I recently went wine shopping and purchased Bad Wine #1. I was looking for some silly labels for an upcoming wine video that I plan to make. The video is to show examples of why you shouldn’t buy wine based on the label. For those of you who do buy labels instead of wine, this wine is a great example of why you shouldn’t. And, you are shooting arrows in the dark with your hard earned money. And, in some cases you are over-paying for really bad wine. Wait until you read about this one below.

White Girl Rosé Is Bad Wine #1

Sorry girls, but this wine is the biggest rip off I have ever seen in a wine store. Not only is it a bit racist, it’s a bad wine. However, it has a pretty label and a funny name. News flash, you can’t drink the label! Please read my posts on label buying. There are links at the end. What’s next? Domestic Violence wine? Where does it end? When will ATF get involved?

Side Label

This is where it gets really out of hand. What does losing weight have to do with this wine? The entire side label makes no sense. I have no idea what they’re trying to tell the consumer. And, there is a picture of a rose. Second news flash, a rose and rosé wine have absolutely nothing to do with each other! They are not even spelled the same. And, please don’t tell me you love me if I don’t know you. It is a ridiculous label.

Back Label

This is the only place on the bottle where you get any real information about the wine. They keep it simple for their simple wine. It says it’s from California and 12% alcohol. That means the grapes are sourced from anywhere in the state and in any combination. In other words, it’s like a box of chocolates, but in a bad way. Because, you won’t know what you’re going to get. and, with wine that is a bad thing. Thanks for all the information guys!

Bad Wine #1 Trivia

What is missing from their wine label? Over 95% of all wines have it on their label. I didn’t notice until I got home, because I was in a hurry. After you figure out what’s missing, you will understand why it’s a rip off. The price of this wine is $16.99! All the signs of a bad wine are present with this one. First, the label is an insult to the rest of the wine world. Second, there is no vintage. That means you have no idea what they are mixing together in the bottle. Third, it is a screw cap. Now, screw caps aren’t a bad thing alone. But, it’s true that the better the wine, the better chance it is corked shut. Did you see the answer to the trivia question in this paragraph?

Answer – There is no vintage (year).

Taste Test

The human tongue is able to taste 5 things. They are salt, sour, bitter, sweet and umame. This is the first wine that I ever had that missed all five. It’s also the first rosé that I ever didn’t like. Good job Yasss Queen. Also, congratulations on successfully ripping off the American public! Also, you win and earn the distinction of being bad wine #1.
